Project description:

 

 The idea was to visually explain how they have been able to shorten the deadlines for the development and manufacture of the vaccine against Covid-19

Impact reached:

 

The project was disseminated both in the breaking news of the newspaper and in the newspaper’s social networks. The response in audience was very good since it dealt with in a simple way complex aspects to visualize and that shed light on the contagion and death figures of covid-19. It was read by a total of 350,000 users

Techniques/technologies used:

 For this piece I exclusively used an animated 2D image in after effects. From graphics to illustrations of cells and viruses.. Weight-optimized mp4 pieces were rendered to later implement it through worpress in a Google AMP stories format.

What was the hardest part of this project?

 

The most complex part was to visualize abstract aspects and proces.

What can others learn from this project?

 The editors can transfer abstract concepts in a visual and simple way, and in turn help contextualize and explain the numbers.
