Project description:
As Corona hit Denmark the digital editorial development team at TV2.DK – TV 2 Denmark – made “coronaoverblikket” – the daily corona overview of the status of the corona pandemic. Over time the dataset has changed as the virus and the conditions has changed. The article shows a new type of journalism: Ever changing data from all over the world at one central place as a daily service.
Impact reached:
The page has been shown more than 100 million times, and is still the most read story every week. It’s the daily hub for information about the status of corona in Denmark and around the world.
Techniques/technologies used:
The page was compiled by a wast array of tools to make sure that the data at all times was and is updated correct.
What was the hardest part of this project?
The current version is the 8. full updated edition – with daily edits – and this has been the by far most challenging part: To keep updating the article to always have the right dataset, and to kill of the datasets not needed.
What can others learn from this project?
To constantly reevaluate their work and change it, so it fits current conditions.
