CommonWealth Magazine’s graphics and data desk is a newly organized small team with reporter, project manager, programmer and designer. We produce data-driven story for the site, and try hard to break our boundaries. We aim to be the pioneer graphics/data team in Asia.
Description of portfolio:
We are a newly organized small team, but we try hard to break our boundaries.
In 2021, we produced dashboards for major news events, such as “Tracking Taiwan’s COVID” and “Tracking Taiwan’s drought crisis”.
We also focus on visual and data-driven approaches to cover serious stories, like “Why the Chinese Military Has Increased Activity Near Taiwan”, “Why the Taroko Express train crash?” and “Does Taiwan Have Enough Power for TSMC?”
At the end of the year, Taiwan has referendums on four topics, we also demonstrated a live interactive/graphics page to follow the voting results.
