Project description:

 Between March 11 and 14, 2020, the Mexican authorities determined that Covid-19 would be serious for our country. Shortly before EjeCentral considered the pandemic a priority and articulated all its efforts and available resources to design and offer in our Research Weekly data analysis, mapping with data crosses, review of scientific information, open to all voices, with verified information, national and international, and with a comprehensive report considering the pandemic itself and its economic and social impact; in addition to the analysis of public policies. The EjeCentral Weekly, is a publication on Thursdays that offers truthful, clear and precise information.

Impact reached:

 Our readers have grown since then, we have had visits of up to a million readers. We have even impacted other media, which compile our publication, take us as a reference or serve as a basis for their own dissemination, either in other print media (local), television or radio programs of night programs, or broadcast to the next day, websites, with reference impacts in countries such as Spain, Poland, among others.

Techniques/technologies used:

 It is a weekly publication that offers service information with cross-data and research, and with a comprehensive approach on Covid-19, and the impact on public and social policies, using illustrated research columns for a better understanding with images, graphs and infographics . The information has a life of its own, digital broadcasts such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and on the web www.ejecentral.com.mx

What was the hardest part of this project?

 Analyze and cross dozens of databases with clear and verified information, and it was no less difficult to see the best way to present it with the correct graphs and data visualizations. The Analytical section EjeCentral, is conceived for data visualizations, the visual aspect predominates with the use of attractive and clear graphs. It is a pioneer in the branch in Mexico.

What can others learn from this project?

 

This is a coordinated work between 2 people, the editor who selects the local, regional, national or international studio that we will run, and the designer who works on the best layout.
